Wieland vacuum units are frequently used for solutions to improve the productivity of a manufacturing process and to improve the working conditions of a manufacturing area:

• Extraction of airborne dust created by a manufacturing process like grinding or milling by the handling of dry bulk material.
• Cleaning of production machines and floors, i.e. extraction of chips, oil, sludge or dust.
• High speed dust extraction of hand held tool like grinding machines.
• Vacuum conveying of bulk material, e.g. discharging railway wagons. 
• Cleaning of production and conveying equipment in the building material industry. Recycling the extracted material into the production process.
• Extraction of contaminated soil or extraction of soil for repair work of gas, water or electricity lines. Extraction of ballast for repair work at rail tracks.

Industrial vacuum cleaners, stationary vacuum units and mobile vacuum units are used in virtually all industrial sectors and have a wide field of application. They are used for:

• Protection of employees against hazardous dust and production residues at the work place
• Quality control and improvement by continuously cleaning or extracting production equipment
• Minimising down time of production equipment by cleanliness and by thus applying basic principles of preventive maintenance
• Environmental protection, professional disposal or recycling of production residues

Industrial vacuum cleaners can extract bulk material, chips, oil and other materials. Special units for the metal working industry can separate metal chips and cutting oil. The extracted oil is returned to the milling machine. Dust extraction units find an application where dust or chips need to be extracted from a machine or a production process.

For the chemical industry or for waste disposal companies Wieland supplies units with absolute filtration systems which can safely extract and dispose toxic material.

Truck or trailer mounted suction units are mainly used by cleaning contractors to extract large amounts of suction material in the bulk material industry, in power plants, in steel plants, in cement plants or in similar industries. Vacuum loaders can extract material over horizontal distances of 200 m or more and can achieve conveying rates of up to 100 t/h. The material which is sucked into the collection container of the unit can be blown by pressure discharge into silos or onto roofs. Lifting heights of more than 50 m.

Vacuum loaders and stationary vacuum units are used in the heavy industry, in the building material industry, in the chemical and petro-chemical industry to clean conveying or process equipment and to recover material. Coal conveying and treatment plants and other areas with explosion risk are cleaned with suction units with explosion protection equipment.
